Laura and I have two outside dogs that we got earlier this summer. They are great fun unless you are two years old and just the right height to get licked in the face..then, not so much. The previous owners had several dogs and we inherited a well used dog house when we bought the place. It only has three walls and does not protect from the cold and snow during the winter. I had some plywood and two by fours lying around and thought I would build them a better shelter that would be warmer in the winter and protect them from the wind.
Mason enjoys being in the garage with me when I’m working because he gets to play with some of my tools. However, I really do not like being stabbed in the calf with a screw driver…twice. Well, you know what they say, stab me once shame on you, stab me twice shame on me. Anyway, I get started building the new dog house. Mason thought it was time to start painting before it was even close to being done, standing right where I wanted to be.

As more of it came together, Mason had to take a little rest. Unplugging the extension cord over and over again can be rather exhausting. Not to mention frustrating when every time I went to use the chop saw, it wouldn’t work. But, I did have my very own cheering section. Each and every time I would plug the extension cord back in Mason would yell ‘yeaaahhhhhhh’ and clap furiously.

Below are more pictures of Mason helping.

Projects are always more interesting with Mason around, “helping” as it were. Perhaps someday soon he will learn how to use the drill instead of running down the driveway with it right when I need it.

Enjoy these moments. They are over way to soon. He (and you) will have some good memories.
